Christmas tree garden ornament

So we thought we'd found something which would make a halfway decent Christmas tree frame. It was about the right height, and the shape wasn't that far off compared to what we imagined a tree might look like. I won't go into the nitty gritty here except to say that it was a form of garden ornament.

So we set aside the time to begin the rather laborious work of finding a way to attach the green stuff to this makeshift frame. Really, it took a while, but after some time, we did manage to attach the artificial foliage. Having done so, we took a step back to sample our work. It wasn't very nice to look at though. In fact, it kind of made us feel sadder, not better.

So we removed the green stuff, allowing the frame to return to its garden ornament status, and we put it back outside. That year, we just had to make do without the tree. It wasn't terrible, just somewhat disappointing.
